#AliLohan Steps Out From #LindsayLohan ‘s Shadow

Ali Lohan

While Lindsay Lohan is never out of the spotlight in the U.S., little sister Aliana Lohan has been making a name for herself in South Korea.

"She’s home with me in New York City. She just shot a campaign in Korea and goes back in June to shoot the cover of the Korean Elle magazine," mother and manager Dina Lohan tells The Huffington Post. "I’m not going with her. She’s 19 now and Next Models is amazing and it’s really safe, so it’s all good."

Ali signed with the Next Models agency in 2011 and has been constantly working since. Known for finding fresh faces, the agency has dominated the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue with its talent and has represented such big names as Molly Sims and Petra Nemcova.

Dina says Ali is inspired by the words Gisele Bundchen wrote on her Facebook page last year: "Life is like a camera, just focus on what’s important. Capture the good times and focus on them. Develop from the negatives and if things don’t work out, just take another shot at it."

"Aliana has amazing energy and is a little angel who protects Lindsay," adds Dina.

Celebrity #PlasticSurgery : #TaylorSwift Is Not The First Star To Keep Us Guessing

Some celebrities (like Heidi Montag) are totally open and up-front about the work that goes into making them Hollywood royalty. Others are not.

Whether they give evasive answers, shut down any plastic surgery rumors altogether or vehemently deny going under the knife, some stars just like to keep us guessing.

The most recent such star is Taylor Swift.

We’re used to seeing the 23-year-old in sweet, conservative, girly clothes. Then this month, in a matter of days, the country singer stunned us all with a series of deep plunging dresses. The photos fueled rumors that Tay went under the knife for a little boob job. Nothing major, just from an A cup to B, according to a plastic surgeon who spoke to InTouch magazine (but did not operate on the young star).

Here, you be the judge:

celebrity plastic surgery

But in Hollywood as per usual, these types of rumors make the rounds every so often. These A-list ladies — Angie, Nicole, Fergie, to name a few — look like they’ve had work done, but have never confirmed it. Take a look, your guess is as good as ours:

#LindsayLohan Live TV? Troubled Star Turns Down ‘DWTS’ Offer Because She Can’t Show Up On Time

Lindsay Lohan Live Tv

Human train wreck Lindsay Lohan reportedly turned down a $550,000 offer from ABC’s "Dancing With the Stars." The reason? According to RadarOnline, the troubled starlet simply can’t commit to a schedule and can hardly be trusted to show up, so her team decided it’s best for her to skip live TV.

"Lindsay has been a mess on movie sets lately," a source told RadarOlnine. "She doesn’t show up on time, she keeps everyone waiting and so her team decided that there was no way that she could handle the pressure of a live show like ‘Dancing with the Stars.’”

Oh, LiLo…

The source went on to say, "Lindsay operates on her own schedule, and there would be no way that anyone could guarantee that she would be on time for rehearsals or the shows, and they’re live so it would be horrible if she didn’t show up!" Terrible, yes. Entertaining? Probably the reason ABC wanted the 26-year-old to begin with.

Had Lohan been able to manage some sort of schedule — two live shows a week and months of daily practices, in this case — the fat paycheck would’ve been ample help in covering her $234,000 debt to the IRS.

But that’s not the only reason LiLo should’ve sucked it up and said yes. Celebuzz listed the reasons why Lohan should have agreed to "DWTS" and they all make perfect sense. For one, the rigorous regimen would have sprung her into shape and gotten her on a healthier track. Also, Lindsay is practically uninsurable in the industry, but proving she’s changed on "DWTS" could help her turn it around.

Either way, we’ll soon get a decent dose of La LiLo when two of her movies come out: "The Canyons" (slated for later this year) and "Scary Movie 5" (to be unleashed onto the world in April).

#JodieFoster #MelGibson And Other Unexpected Celebrity Friendships

Jodie Foster Mel Gibson

If there’s one thing people found more baffling than Jodie Foster’s part-coming out, part-retirement speech at the Golden Globes Sunday night, it’s her close friendship with Hollywood’s pariah Mel Gibson.

Foster received the Cecile B. DeMille Award for outstanding contribution, handed to her by longtime friend Robert Downey Jr. In his intro, Downey made a crack about hamsters and had Gibson hand the "Panic Room" actress a bunch of doll hamsters on a silver platter which Foster proceeded to nibble on (ugh, inside jokes).

Afterward, during her much-talked-about acceptance speech, Foster thanked her family, friends "and of course Mel Gibson, you know you saved me too." The camera then showed a stunned and speechless Gibson. Later, the actor told people he "adores" Foster and "I kiss the ground she walks on."

What Mel saved Jodie from is unclear — maybe from the perils of losing her privacy, which made up the bulk of her speech? — but it’s clear what the "too" in that remark meant. Foster did much of the saving, and still does, by remaining friends with the actor.

In 2011, when Gibson was on the receiving end of more scrutiny than praise (following the anti-Semitic and sexist slurs he made), Foster stuck by him and insisted he was still Hollywood’s "most beloved actor."

The two actors starred together in the 1994 movie "Maverick" and in 2011 Foster directed the movie "The Beaver" featuring Gibson.

Are you surprised by the bizarre-o pair? Flip through to see who else made it into our "whoa, they’re friends?!" list:

#LindsayLohan #MarilynMonroe Compared For ‘Talent Slipping Away’

Lindsay Lohan Marilyn Monroe

Lindsay Lohan has long cited Marilyn Monroe as her personal icon, and the troubled starlet appears to be following in the footsteps of the fallen Hollywood legend.

Journalist Stephen Rodrick profiled Lohan for the New York Times Magazine, detailing how Lohan acted on the set of "The Canyons." The result was a lengthy piece on how difficult the 26-year-old is to work with and how truly off-the-rails she has gone. In a behind-the-story interview, Rodrick offers his impression of Lohan, noting parallels between her story and that of Marilyn Monroe.

"There’s talent in there," Rodrick, who describes Lohan as "fragile" and a "tornado,"explains to the NYT. "She has that undefinable ‘it’ quality. You can see it at certain moments in the film. The frustrating/tragic thing, and Lindsay would be the first to admit it, is getting that talent out of her over the past few years has been nearly impossible. That’s why I called the piece ‘The Misfits,’ after Marilyn Monroe’s last film, one that Schrader and the crew were constantly talking about on set. You can’t argue that Lindsay has the talent or resume of Monroe, but there is that same feeling of talent slipping away, perhaps permanently."

"The Misfits" was the 1961 film that featured the final performances of both Marilyn Monroe and Clark Gable. The film was supposed to be done in 50 days, but took 90, and Monroe was sent to the hospital for a week in the middle of shooting. In the original NYT profile, Rodrick describes how the "Canyons" director, Paul Schrader, started talking about "The Misfits" after getting frustrated with Lohan while on set.

“We’re making ‘The Misfits’ on a microbudget,” Schrader joked. He added, “But here’s the thing: ‘The Misfits’ is actually a great film.”

Rodrick and Schrader are not the only ones to make the Lohan-Monroe parallel. Fellow starlet Megan Fox made the Lohan comparison while speaking to Esquire about why she decided to remove her Monroe tattoo.

"I started reading about her and realized that her life was incredibly difficult. It’s like when you visualize something for your future. I didn’t want to visualize something so negative," Fox told Esquire, according to E! News. She continued, "She wasn’t powerful at the time. She was sort of like Lindsay. She was an actress who wasn’t reliable, who almost wasn’t insurable … She had all the potential in the world, and it was squandered. I’m not interested in following those footsteps."

#LindsayLohan does $50,000 of #damage to #NYC hotel: Cigarette burns

lindsay-lohan-rumor.jpg

Lindsay Lohan should really just stay home, because it seems that every time she leaves her house she finds herself in a new mess. Literally.

Rumor has it, Lohan did $50,000 worth of damage to her suite at the W Hotel at Union Square in New York City.

You’ve got to be really trying to cause that much destruction.

According to sources at Us, Lohan stayed at the upscale hotel for several weeks while in the city, even though her family’s home in Long Island is just a short drive away. Most of the damage happened because she had friends up to her room to party.

"Her suite had so many cigarette burns, they had to change all the carpets," says a source at the hotel. "She did at least $50,000 worth of damage while partying. She is not allowed back at any W hotel in NYC, ever!"

Lohan might not be staying in any hotels any time soon, though. She’s currently facing charges for lying to the police after her car crash this summer, as well as a probation violation in the jewelry theft case from last year. Lohan is facing up to 245 days in prison, and/or she could be sentenced to 6 months in "lockdown rehab."

#LindsayLohan ‘s Case: Actress Returns To Court Over Lying Allegations

Lindsay Lohan Case

LOS ANGELES — Lindsay Lohan pleaded not guilty Tuesday to three misdemeanor charges related to a car crash and was ordered to appear in court for a hearing later this month.

Her plea was entered by her attorney Shawn Holley, who declined to comment after the hearing. Lohan was not required to attend.

Superior Court Commissioner Jane Godfrey said the actress must appear at a Jan. 30 pretrial hearing.

Lohan is charged with lying to police, reckless driving and obstructing police from performing their duties.

Police suspect Lohan was driving her sports car when it slammed into a dump truck while she was on her way to the set of "Liz and Dick" in early June. Lohan told police she wasn’t behind the wheel.

Lohan was on probation for a 2011 necklace theft case at the time and could face up to 245 days in jail if a judge determines she violated her probation.

Godfrey also set a Feb, 27 trial date on the misdemeanor counts.

The accident was not the only problem encountered by Lohan while shooting "Liz and Dick," a film based on the love affair between Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.

She also was arrested in New York after an alleged fight with a woman, but a criminal complaint hasn’t been drawn up. The district attorney’s office there said last week that an inquiry was ongoing.

The film was expected to be a comeback opportunity for Lohan, who spent the past several years struggling with criminal court cases. Her performance, however, was panned by critics and fans.A week after the car accident, paramedics were summoned to Lohan’s hotel room when she was late getting to the set. Her publicist at the time attributed her absence to fatigue and dehydration.

#LindsayLohan On #NewYorkTimes Article: I Did Not Drink And Drive

Lindsay Lohan New York Times

If you’ve read the recent New York Times Magazine profile of Lindsay Lohan, you may have wondered how the actress feels about the piece. Well, wonder no more, because, according to sources, she’s fine with it.

Despite what many would say is a brutally honest portrait of Lohan’s troubled career, sources tell TMZ that the "Mean Girls" actress acknowledges that the details in the story are true. Those close to Lohan say she admits to having been late to the set of"The Canyons," nervous to get undressed and argumentative with producers. The one thing sources say she adamantly rejects, however, is the portion in which she reportedly drinks and drives.

Lohan says most of what the story describes is standard practice in Hollywood, but she insists the drinking-and-driving portion is malarkey. Lohan claims she did not drink on set and then drive a car afterward, one of the article’s several instances of Lohan wreaking havoc while shooting the movie. TMZ reports that friends of Lohan said the actress feels she is more responsible than that.

Lohan reportedly is not mad about the story, which chronicles the filming of the salacious Bret Easton Ellis-penned movie as it revolves around Lohan’s notorious troubles. She says she’s already been approached by "Canyons" director Paul Schrader to star in another of his movies.

#LindsayLohan #Canyons Outburst: Actress Blasts Co-Star #JamesDeen On Set

Lindsay Lohan Canyons
Lindsay Lohan and James Deen in a stil from "The Canyons."

If you read The New York Times Magazine’s lengthy and bewildering profileof what it’s like to work with Lindsay Lohan, you’ll no doubt be surprised by this recording.

TMZ obtained an audio recording from the set of "The Canyons" — the film which NTYM writer Stephen Rodrick detailed from start to finish. In the audio clip, Lohan can be heard blasting her co-star James Deen and arguing with director Paul Schrader during a scene rehearsal.

Sources told TMZ, the clip was recorded on the third day of production and the three can be heard arguing over the continuity of the scene. Schrader can be heard taking the actors through the scene and tries to explain to Lohan they need to run through the scene all the way to the kiss at the end.

When the director yelled "action," something apparently displeased Lohan who unloaded on her co-star, telling him:

"No, can you do it. Please James, say your line as you’re walking over because we’re doing rehearsal with the lines. Do your f*cking job."

This was likely one of the many arguments had on set. According to the Times’ writer, during an argument with Schrader, Lohan threw the fact that she had been fired and rehired in his face, remarking, "Sorry, Paul, I guess you’ll have to fire me again."

The magazine’s story on Lohan’s behavior isn’t doing her career any favors, and it will be very interesting to see who hires her next, given what we now know — especially since sources also say Lohan has told friends she acknowledges that the details in the story are true, but took exception with allegations that she drove home after she was seen drinking.
